Hi Dean –
Thank you for the analysis
Also don’t you feel the market will be propped up by the fed?
I’m wondering how we can use technical analysis when the market is being manipulated by the fed?
I feel I can be right just as many times I can be wrong.
Thanks,
Josh
Josh,
The fed is injecting liquidity into the economy and I think that is a good thing. I don’t think it is “manipulation.”
The market is “voting” on what future earnings will be and we can observe that current voting with technical analysis.
The fed actions will help make it “not as bad as it could be,” but ultimately the economy is driven by the consumer.
Hope that helps.
Dean, Like you I bought USO leaps. Wouldn’t you classify that as being an investor? Also since the reverse split Schwab is not showing the leap contracts in alignment with the stock. How long does it take if you would guess? Thanks. I do think these will be profitable in the future.
Mark,
You’ve got me there. I did “invest” in USO leaps. But that is a fraction of my capital. 1% to be exact. The rest I am trading.
And I do think that USO will come back, that it is a good investment.
