Shiv has been a member of Dean’s service for over 5 years, has taken the Master Trader Course, and is a regular contributor of stock picks to Follow Me Trades.

Shiv uses a variety of technical indicators, including the Ichimoku cloud, RSI, and MACD to analyze charts on the ThinkOrSwim trading platform.

In addition to swing trading, Shiv is knowledgeable about long term investing, including dividend strategies for retirement. Shiv lived and worked in Canada for many years, has a Canadian Retirement account (RRIF), and is familiar with investing in Canada (Canadian Tire, Loblaws, Alimentation Couche-Tard etc.).

Shiv worked as a software designer in the Telecom Industry for almost 20 years before going to law school and becoming a patent attorney. Shiv has done patent-related work for 20 years for well known technology companies, such as Amazon, Microsoft, Dell, IBM, Qualcomm, AT&T, and T-Mobile. Shiv currently works with several startups that are using artificial intelligence.

Shiv has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics, a BS degree in Computer Science, and a Juris Doctorate (law degree). When not trading, Shiv plays tabla (East Indian hand percussion) and regularly performs for various worthy causes, such as the Sankara Eye Foundation (providing free cataract surgery to the poor), the India Disaster Relief Fund (IDRF), and others.

Shiv is married, has a Maltese dog named Ollie, and lives in Austin, TX.
